Shaklee YOUTH Skin Care Set Review

Happy Satur-Yay friends!

Saturday is my absolute favorite day of the week and I look forward to it every week starting...Saturday night haha.  I use this day to spend time with my family and pamper myself.  I try to start everyday feeling refreshed and ready to take on my to-do lists, and the best way for me to do that is to get ready.  I am obsessed with skincare and love trying out new skincare products.  I have extremely sensitive, dry and eczema prone skin.  As much as I love skincare products, I am very wary and cautious of what I put on my skin (Especially face products).  I decided to try out Shaklee YOUTH Skin Care set because their products are all 100% vegan and cruelty free.  Along with that, they claim that you will never find harmful chemicals and ingredients that are typically used in cosmetics and skincare products.  The Shaklee line is formulated to improve aging issues at the cellular level.

Now that that is said, let's get to the individual products.  Keep reading if you want to hear my thoughts on each!

Thank you to Statusphere for gifting the Shaklee Youth Skin Care Set

RADIANCE C + E | 20% Pure Vita C, Vita E + Raspberry

"Plumps, brightens, and visibly reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles."

First impression, skin seemed more radiant but burned irritated spots.  I would say that this one is not for sensitive skin.  Right when it touches any irritated skin, it immediately burns.  I apply at night, once a day only.  It burned for a little and seemed to irritate my skin until I applied the serum on top.

My problem areas for lines and wrinkles would be under my eyes and at the corner, and my forehead.  I would say, skin has been feeling and looking a little more plump and is SUPER soft. Not sure if it is from this or the serum.

YOUTH ACTIVATING SERUM | Apple Cell, Lotus Japonicus, Encapsulated Vitamin A

"Youth Activating Serum has 10x the actives to renew, regenerate, and make your skin act younger.  Our Youth Activating Complex has gentle encapsulated vitamin A retinol, polyphenols, plus extracts of Lotus Japonicus, apple cell, and schisandra."

I really like this serum, especially because it seems like it counters the irritation of the Radiance C + E product.  I apply this after Radiance C + E and before my makeup, as well as after I wash my face at night.  I did have a spot of eczema under my eye, and I applied this at night and by the morning, the spot was visibly healing and practically gone.  I was very impressed because honestly, I don't usually have high hopes when it comes to products that can combat eczema. I'm still testing these out, but the difference was obvious and visual so I thought I would let you all know.

YOUTH ACTIVATING BB CREAM | 5-in-1 Beauty Balm

"Evens, corrects, hydrates, nourishes, protects"

First impression, I didn't care for it.  Most products that contain sunscreen, they usually have a white cast or white shade that is visible with a camera.  I noticed this a lot with this one.  After application, I applied with a foundation brush and was going to take a picture.  But I could see all the spots I had not gone over, because my face had this white cast to it in the photos/camera.  I used the shade Medium, which at first glance I didn't think matched me.  However it did seem like it oxidized, and matched my skin tone more once it had set.  I would say it was light coverage, and I feel like it was more hydrating than most BB creams I have tried.  This would be great for low key maintenance skin, and for a day out running errands.

I am still testing these out, so maybe I'll do an updated review in a month or so.
So far, I am loving the serum and my skin seems more radiant.

Thank you for reading!
